Community
We work to balance commitments to our faith community, religious principles, stewardship of this historical building and to social justice action.
As a congregation, we have publicly called for marriage equality, health care reform, a living wage, and now, like so many, are discussing ways to shape the national dialog on immigration.
Action takes many forms, from raising a forty-foot "People of Faith for Marriage Equality" banner, to food drives for local pantries, volunteering at Cradles2Crayon and selling Christmas wreaths to fund key programs.
We provide fair rent to the Quincy Hot Meals program and Prison Book Program. Our commitment of support to these programs allows us to live our belief in the inherent worth and dignity of everyone.
And we regularly come together simply for a good time and great company. From movie nights, book club, writing group to our annual Valentine's Chili and Chocolate night and Stone Temple Coffeehouse's full roster of musical talent, we enjoy building friendships.
